About the Conference

The 7th International Scientific Conference of Alkafeel University "ISCKU2026" will take place in Al-Najaf Al-Ashraf, (IRAQ), during March 28-29, 2026.

ISCKU2026 is an annual conference which aims to bring participants together from academic, industry, engineering, and government institutions around the world to attend the conference, share field trial experiences and lessons with other enthusiasts, exchange novel ideas, discuss innovative fields and explore enabling technologies for a variety of applications. ISCKU2026 has been an active platform which provides participants with ample opportunities to establish research relationships, to find the partners for future collaboration and develop opportunities for cooperation.

Dr. Joseph Becker is a distinguished emergency medicine physician and clinical leader known for his expertise in high acuity care, medical education, and innovative emergency department systems. He serves as Clinical Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine, where he teaches, mentors, and trains the next generation of emergency physicians. His clinical work spans trauma, resuscitation, critical care, and complex emergency presentations, earning him recognition for excellence in patient care and bedside leadership. Dr. Becker has held key roles within Stanford’s emergency medicine programs, contributing to curriculum development, clinical operations, and quality improvement initiatives that elevate standards of care. Dr. Esty Febriani
Dr. Esty Febriani

Universitas Bhakti Husada, Indonesia

Dr. Esty Febriani, MKes, is a senior public health leader with more than 25 years of experience advancing maternal and neonatal health, HIV, tuberculosis, and mental health programs across Indonesia and beyond. She serves as Executive Director of Yayasan Lentera Kesehatan Nusantara and lectures at Universitas Bhakti Husada Indonesia (UBHI), while actively contributing to applied research. Her expertise has positioned her as a trusted voice in national and global health forums, including her service on the World Health Organization (WHO) Civil Society Task Force on Tuberculosis from 2018 to 2022. Dr. Febriani has led and supported initiatives that strengthen community health systems, expand access to essential services, and improve outcomes for vulnerable populations. Her leadership reflects a deep commitment to evidence based practice, capacity building, and advancing public health equity across diverse settings.
Dr. Furqan B. Irfan
Dr. Furqan B. Irfan

Michigan State University, USA

Dr. Furqan B. Irfan, MBBS (MD), PhD, MBA, is an Associate Professor of Neurology and Director of Research Development at the College of Osteopathic Medicine, Michigan State University (MSU). A global health and research leader, he teaches Epidemiology and Evidence Based Medicine to more than 300 medical students annually. His research spans epidemiology, health systems strengthening, chronic diseases, One Health, zoonotic diseases, climate change, and data science, with over 35 peer reviewed publications and more than $2.5 million in grant funding. His active projects extend across the United States, South America, Africa, and Asia. Dr. Irfan has served on advisory boards for Health Practice, Silicon Valley Innovation Center, and Infineon Technologies, and has collaborated with Google, NASA, and NIH. He currently serves as Senior Technical Advisor at Manhattan Strategy Group, supporting global initiatives in education, climate resilience, public health, and health systems strengthening.
Dr. Linda Veronica Venczel
Dr. Linda Veronica Venczel

George Washington University, USA

Dr. Linda Veronica Venczel is an internationally recognized epidemiologist with more than 30 years of leadership in immunization systems, global health security, and infectious disease surveillance. She has shaped national and global strategies across Africa, Asia, and Latin America through senior roles at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, CDC, PAHO, PATH, and CRDF Global. Her work has strengthened laboratory networks, advanced polio eradication, expanded vaccine access, and built resilient health systems in over 20 countries. Dr. Venczel has directed large, multisectoral programs funded by USAID, CDC, NIH, and Gavi, leading teams of more than 100 experts and driving innovations in epidemic preparedness, AMR, diagnostics, and emergency operations. A respected educator, she serves on the faculty of The George Washington University. Her contributions have earned major honors, including the HHS Distinguished Service Award, Rotary International’s Paul Harris Award, and Bolivia’s Honor of Knighthood in Public Health.

Malla Reddy Viswavidyapeeth, India

Dr. Anil Kaul is a distinguished physician scientist and public health leader with more than 35 years of experience in global health, healthcare administration, translational research, and diagnostics. He serves as Vice Chancellor of Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth in Hyderabad. Dr. Kaul previously served as Vice Chancellor of PHFI University and as Clinical Professor and Program Director for Global Health at Oklahoma State University, where he established the High Complexity Infectious Diseases Laboratory and led the university’s COVID 19 response. He has advised the U.S. Department of State, USAID, and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency on pandemic preparedness and global health initiatives. Dr. Kaul has authored more than 120 scientific papers, delivered around 200 presentations, and holds six U.S. patents. His contributions have earned major honors, including the Secretary’s Expeditionary Service Award, the Global Healthcare Summit Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Sony Walmart Science Achiever of the Year Award.

Dr. Ahmed El Shanawany is a distinguished Orthodontic Consultant and respected member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Dental Council Board. He holds an MSc in Orthodontics with Distinction from the University of Dundee and a Specialty Membership in Orthodontics from RCSEd. Based in Egypt, he earned his Bachelor of Dentistry locally before pursuing advanced international training. Dr. El Shanawany is recognized for his clinical expertise, academic contributions, and leadership within the orthodontic community. His work reflects a commitment to excellence in patient care, professional development, and advancing orthodontic practice through evidence based approaches and continuous learning.
